Okay, maybe this isn’t a word-for-word quote but more or less what I said when the fabulous Jennifer Urezzio<\/a> asked me to speak about what I do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THIS IS IT in a nutshell, my friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m not just here to guide your pen across the page and write a beautiful memoir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m here to see you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m here to witness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m here to hold space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m here to walk the path with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m here getting into the trenches with you as you rewrite the narrative, discover you were the hero all along, and free yourself of the old ways of telling the story.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then I’m there, standing at the top of the summit with you, hand in hand, in a new place of power as you share your story with the world and realize that not only are you about to activate someone else’s healing, you’ve activated your own the whole way up<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’ll look out at that horizon together and I’ll bask in the NEW question you’ll ask yourself…<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

If I could do that (write my story and share it) what can I do now?<\/strong>
The answer: ANYTHING.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Because there’s no greater POWER than a person standing in their truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s no greater STRENGTH than to stand in your own before and now, recognizing how the two connect, embracing the darkness and light, and realizing they go together, and that you are better for it even if it was f*cking hard being in it.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s no greater GIFT we can give to each other than to share our stories with our WHOLE unfiltered selves (messy, complicated, imperfect, beautiful) and recognize we are more alike than we are different…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That we are actually not alone in that experience whatsoever\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That we can validate each other’s existence and humanness…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of this is what I’m about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
