I had only left my day job 10 days prior.\u00a0 I flew to St. Louis to attend a Live event with other women in budding virtual businesses. The room was brimming with the excitement and exhilaration of 100ish entrepreneurial women.<\/p>\n<p>And right there, as I sat inside that room, on the edge of my seat, soaking up every tidbit of knowledge each speaker had to offer, the Universe gave me my nudge, my forward motion.<\/p>\n<span><a onclick=\"read_toggle(1436232408, 'Read More', 'Read Less'); return false;\" class=\"read-link\" id=\"readlink1436232408\" style=\"readlink\" href=\"#\">Read More<\/a><\/span>\n<div class=\"read_div\" id=\"read1436232408\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>As I sat listening to the speakers, I noticed something many had in common &#8211; heartbreaking stories and trauma from their pasts that had somehow shaped who they were and how or why they were standing up in the front of the room with something to say and successful businesses to boot.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0These women&#8217;s stories gripped my heart, sent tears rolling down my face, AND lit my entire soul on fire.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0BOOM! Message delivered.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0RIGHT THEN I knew what I wanted to do and where I wanted to take my business.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0I wanted to help women &#8211; brilliant, bold, brave, powerhouse women &#8211; tell these stories of their grit, hope, and triumph. I wanted to support successful, intelligent, high-achieving women say out loud the things they had been through, to own their stories, to rewrite their narratives, to embrace the heroine that lived inside of them and had propelled them forward despite their odds.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Yet, an internal voice started to whisper &#8220;Houston, we have a problem&#8230;You haven&#8217;t owned your OWN story.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Just like I KNEW what I wanted to do for others, I instantly KNEW what I NEEDED to do for myself.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0I couldn&#8217;t truly, authentically, genuinely guide women to write their books or tell their stories without doing it for myself.
